My First real Job
The GVSU Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI), within the Seidman College of Business, is dedicated to developing best practices in entrepreneurship education and community engagement that enhance and impact the creation of new ventures and opportunities -- via CEI
Through a combination of courses, curriculum, peer to peer networking, competitions, and mentorship, CEI provides all students an environment that fosters entrepreneurship and enhances entrepreneurial activities.
I came onboard in 2011 as a student employee to enhance CEI's web presence through web design, development, photo and video. Through the timeframe of 2011 to 2013 (graduation), I got to touch wide scope of projects, not only digital, but print and executing physical events.
CEI led to my employment at GR Current and Emerge West Michigan.
Beyond the tangible elements at work, CEI taught me how to leverage social capital in expanding communities like Grand Rapids.
Big ups to the admin at GVSU's business school for allowing CEI to be student operated!
